The Ocean Beach Community Fund was created almost 40 years ago to raise money and do volunteer projects to benefit the residents of Ocean Beach and its neighboring communitieswithout utilizing any tax money. We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and donations are tax-  deductible to the extent allowed by law. The OBCF supports many of Ocean Beaches key service and cultural organizations with grants, such as the OB Lifeguards, OB Historical Society Gallery Shows and Openings, Fire Island Animal Rescue and the OB Fire and OB Police Departments and to sponsor the Village's Environmental Commission.

We have also raised money for specific large projects in our community: restoration of the Community House, the Children’s Playground and the restoration of Windswept among many others over our history. Our volunteer projects provide many fun activities to Fire Island residents over the summers and include the Fourth of July Wagon Parade, Dock Concerts, Annual Arts and Crafts Fair, Children’s Art Show, Poetry Readings and the Flea Market. 

We support our activities by soliciting donations from local residents and businesses, fees from the Art and Crafts Fair and Flea Market, and our annual fundraiser the first weekend of August.
